What is a Psychic Reader?Article by the Psychic Medium Reader Craig Hamilton-Parker The word psychic originates from the Greek word psychikos which means “of the soul, mental" . Today it refers to a person who has extra sensory ability – someone able to ‘see’, ‘hear’ and ‘feel’ by the use of something other than the known senses. Parapsychologists call this psychic ability Extra-Sensory-Perception. The layman may call it the ‘sixth sense’ When we call someone a ‘Psychic Reader’ we are referring to someone who has the ability to ‘read’ another person. You could say that a psychic reader reads the soul. So for example some psychic readers may be able to see or sense the energy field around a person and interpret what they perceive. The interpretation (reading) of the aura may reveal information about the sitter that could not be known any way except though these extra sensory skills. In the case of aura reading the psychic (sometimes also called a clairvoyant) may know if the recipient has physical ailments or emotional upsets and may be able to sense the recipients feelings thoughts, hopes, dreams and so on. The psychic reader may be gaining some of this directly from the vibrations he feels in the person’s aura but may also pick up the person’s thoughts (telepathy) or information about the person’s situation that they are unaware of (clairvoyance). A good clairvoyant will not ask lots of questions and certainly would not try to feed back information that you have already given them. A poor psychic reader may speak in an open ended way with information that could refer to just about anyone. (This is sometimes called cold reading) A good psychic reader will give you accurate information and facts that you can verify later when you talk with others about your reading. Many people today claim to have a psychic gift but few can really deliver a high level of accuracy. Top MEDIUMSHIP – A medium is a person who can sense the presence of spirits. Most real mediums have been trained within Spiritualism. They would have demonstrated on the platform or taken services within the Spiritualist Church. A medium's task is to prove that life continues after death. They do not generally give advice about relationships and life issues. The best place to track down a good medium is within Spiritualism.
